Do you know which city in the Philippines have passed ordinances that restrict tricycle operators who put a Bible passage or verse on the back of their tricycle cabs to give them permits to travel?

Local ordinances requiring tricycle operators to put a Bible passage or verse on the back of their cabs is 20 years in effect in Tagbilaran City in Bohol Province. This allows the operators to be given permits to travel and get passengers.

There is no similar Bible passage or verse to be seen behind the tricycle because the local government also provides the words from the Bible that goes along with their operator’s approved permit.

If the tricycle operator is Muslim, words from Koran goes behind the vehicle.

Implementing such a law aims to stop the operators and drivers in placing inappropriate words or pictures on their cabs that sometimes have bad connotation and offensive to others.
