The fire burned a warehouse of clothes in the corner of Balete Drive and Acacia St. in Barangay Mariana, Quezon City past four in the morning Sunday.



In the initial investigation by the Bureau of Fire Protection, overheated electric fan was the source of the fire.

Four workers were allegedly slept in the warehouse last night. The workers woke up as they notice the blazing electric fan.

No one was killed or injured in the fire because the four employees went out of the building immediately.

Neither no one was hurt in the fire building adjacent to the office of the owner of the warehouse, as well as the adjacent townhouse because of the fire wall.

According to BFP assessment, up to P1 million worth of properties were destroyed by the fire.

The fire reached to second alarm that was eventually stopped at 5:42 am.

QC Fire Marshal Jesus Fernandez reminded the public, be careful in the use of appliances that are easy to overheat and possibly dampen them first when they are overused.
