Enzo Pastor is known as one of the Filipino champions in race car driving in the Philippines. After all the awards he received from racing, his name became popular in the race track. He is the first Filipino to participate and win in a NASCAR championship. But bad news terrified many avid fan of Pastor after he was shot dead last night in Quezon City by some unknown gunmen of riding in tandem on a motorbike.

It’s an untimely death because Pastor was supposed to join the continuation of the Asian V8 Championship in Pampanga and he said earlier before the murder that he was ready to win in television interview. The racing event was organized by his father, Tom and Pastor was on his way to Clark riding on a truck that carried his race car.

Unexpectedly while Enzo Pastor got out of the tow truck— that was hauling the Asian V8 car, a motorcycle-riding gunmen shot him directly on his head and neck while his assistant, Salazar got shot in the hip. Investigation shows that the gunmen approached Pastor’s vehicle at a stoplight situated on the corner of Congressional Avenue and Visayas Avenue, quarter to twelve in the evening.

As a boy, Enzo Pastor already shows passion in racing. He predicted that his life would end with a motorcycle. Partly true, but he might never expect that he was not riding on it.

In his June interview last year, he said that he had to disregard his short-lived fascination to motorcycles as he realized the great danger waiting ahead of him. Pastor mentioned his early memories about his dirt bike that he realized his life would end soon. Enzo Pastor possessed a certain kind of discipline that most drivers don’t have especially when traffic rules is concern.

His family and close friends are still shocked about the news and one of the big questions is, who killed him? What might be the true motivation of the killing?
